Scarlet-clicks.info is the first paid to click site I joined.  I joined it because it was the top of a list that I once read.  I didn’t really know much about it when I joined which usually isn’t the best thing.  However, this site has proven to be rather good.

I never upgraded on Scarlet-clicks so I can’t give you information on any level higher than free.  This site only has free and premium members.  The cost of the premium membership will vary depending on how many months membership you buy.  The more months you buy the more benefits and perks you will get.  The price of the upgrade will range from $5 to $50.  When you look at the upgrade page it seems that the benefit is mainly more from your referral’s clicks and extra advertising on the site.

Ads

The way you make money on this site is mainly by clicking on ads.  When you click on the ads you earn a certain amount.  As a free member the ads price range from $0.002 - $0.0005.  I’m not sure if this changes if you become a premium member.  The number of ads does vary each day so you can never know just how much you will make.

Earnings

As I have said the earnings on this site will vary depending on the number of ads.  In the last month (August) I earned $0.28.  Now this might not seem like much and in reality it really isn’t.  The fact is that I am really close to payout on the site.  Additionally, as I’m not in America I may not be getting as many ads as they are geo-targeted.

Payout

Payout for this site is $1.02 for Alertpay and $0.5 for Paypal.  The site says that the payment is instant and this is one of the few sites where it really is.  I tried both payout methods and have been paid instantly.  There is a fee when you ask for payout with both processors.  With Alertpay the fee is $0.02 and with Paypal it is $0.01.  

The Verdict?

Scarlet-clicks.info is one of the more stable PTC sites out there.  They have been up and running for years and they still pay instantly.  You will need to have referrals in order to make a fair amount of money.  Upgrading is best done once you have referrals as this allows you to get more out of your referral’s clicks.

One of the ways that you can make money is to write articles for online companies.  I do this and it is actually my main income.  The great thing about doing this kind of work is that I do not have to go out and work.  There are loads of other benefits that are also around.

This benefit could be a bit confusing because you are actually working for someone else.  When you work for certain companies you can work when you want.  That is what most people mean by being your own boss when writing articles.  With these companies you can often choose the article you want to write so you can take ones that you have some interest in.

A lot of people think that they can’t do online writing because they are not an expert in anything.  You really don’t have to be.  One of the things I like about writing articles is that I can learn about new things.  If you don’t know anything about a subject you should check what there is on the internet and if it sounds interesting to you then go for it.

Work from anywhere

Being able to work from anywhere at any time is a major bonus when doing this kind of work.  In order to work from anywhere in the world all you need is a computer and the internet.  If you are out of your home then you can still write an article and submit it if the place you are in has internet.  This is a great benefit as you never have to worry about not making money as you can write at least one article anywhere in the world.

You can actually make a fair monthly income from writing articles.  The key to this is to keep an open mind in regards to the subject you are writing on and making sure that your work is grammatically correct and the spelling is perfect.  All of the benefits you get from this work really makes up for the amount of typing you have to do.

Making Money with Online Surveys

There are a lot of people who say that they make a lot of money off paid surveys.  I have found that while you can make some money it can be a bit hard to make a steady income.  Of course this could be due to a host of factors that you need to look at before you do surveys.

      1.       Location, location, location

Where you are is very important when you do any work online.  This is particularly important when you are looking at surveys.  The people who are having the surveys done are looking at certain target markets.  If you are not in the country they are targeting then you will not be part of the survey.  There are some survey companies that only take people from certain countries and you have to check that out.  If you go with a company that takes people internationally then you may get a lot of surveys that you don’t qualify for.  The majority of surveys seem to go to people in America, Canada, UK and Australia.

      2.       Age

People like to say that age doesn’t matter but to a marketer it does.  Most surveys will ask you what age category you fall into.  Sometimes this has nothing to do with eligibility and more to do with statistics.  However, there are surveys that are targeted at certain age groups.  In general people aged 20 – 40 will have more chance of getting surveys.  This does not mean that you won’t get surveys if you are older, you may just not get as many.

      3.       The site you use

There are many survey companies online that offer you paid surveys.  However, like most online work some companies are better than others.  There are certain sites that send you more surveys than others and there is nothing you can do about that.  The best bet would be to join a few sites.

       4.       The rewards you get

If you are looking to make money with the surveys you do then you have to know that not all survey sites give you money.  Some sites will give you points or entries into a draw of some kind.  Points can often be redeemed for more tangible items but it may not be money.  There are some sites that redeem points for a Paypal money card but they may redeem it in the form of gift cards for different stores.  If you can find out what the site gives you as payment before you join you should.

Aside from all these factors you also have to keep in mind that even if you get a survey you may not qualify for it.  Generally the survey will ask you a few questions before the actual survey start.  These questions will determine if you fit the target market of the survey.  Sometimes a survey will only allow a certain number of people from certain demographics so you should not leave your surveys for a later date.

There is money to be made in surveys.  The problem is finding the sites that will send you surveys and being in the right demographic. 

Alertpay - Payment Processor to Know About

One thing I have found with trying to make money online is the number of payment processors out there.  Now like everyone and their grandmother I have a Paypal account.  This however is not the only thing you need when working online.  A lot of websites have a problem with Paypal and some will not even accept it for payments.

To get around this rather large problem you will need to open accounts with some of the other payment processors out there.  Personally I have just opened one with Alertpay because most sites will take this.  Liberty Reserve is another processor that most sites will take.  I just found that it is easier to open an Alertpay to Liberty Reserve.

Registering for an Alertpay account is about the same process as getting a Paypal one.  You just have to go to their website and click sign up now.  There are some things you will need to open the account and they are:

• A valid email address that does not have an Alertpay account linked to it

• A physical address for shipping

• A credit or debit card that is valid

Once you have all of these things you can sign up for your account.  It is best that you validate the account as this is an easy way to have money in the account and to pay people.  Validation of the account can take around 3 days so just keep that in mind.  

There are some problems I have found with Alertpay that annoy me a bit.  The fact that Alertpay and Paypal are rivals in the payment processor industry means that you cannot move money between the two.  Transferring money from a bank account by bank wire will take 2-4 business days and has a fee of $20 and by bank transfer takes 4-6 business days and has varying fees.  The only other option is to send a check or money order by mail and seriously who does that anymore?

Other than these problems I find Alertpay to be quite useful and easy to use.

So if you don’t have an account yet you should get one.  Most online money making opportunities will take Alertpay but not Paypal so you will open up a host of income streams.
